Shekita Robinson

Shekita Robinson is a distinguished member of the Federal Senior Executive Service with almost 30 years of dedicated leadership, strategic governance, and technical expertise within the Nuclear Security Enterprise. Currently serving as the Manager of NNSA's Kansas City Field Office (KCFO), Ms. Robinson provides executive-level leadership, broad operational oversight, and strategic integration for the multi-billion-dollar Kansas City National Security Campus Management and Operating prime contract. 

Operating across vital national security sites in Kansas City, Missouri, and Albuquerque, New Mexico, she oversees a highly diverse and complex procurement and manufacturing portfolio critical to national defense, specifically overseeing the facility tasked with manufacturing and procuring approximately 80 percent of the nation’s non-nuclear components. Throughout her collaborative career, she has established a reputation for driving continuous improvement, championing robust contractor assurance systems, and managing multi-dimensional risks.

Prior to her appointment as Manager, Ms. Robinson served as a primary catalyst for operational excellence and strategic alignment at KCFO as Deputy Manager. In that role, Ms. Robinson guided Assistant Managers and federal staff to administer contracted work scope, executed NNSA program requirements, and maintained effective safety, security, quality assurance, environmental and infrastructure readiness and performance. During her four-year tenure as the Assistant Manager of the KCFO Office of Mission Assurance (OMA), she built and led a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and quality assurance specialists dedicated to assessing and validating complex product deliverables across Nuclear Weapon Programs, Weapon Quality Assurance, and Strategic Partnership Projects.

Before advancing to executive roles, she served progressively as the OMA Program Management Team Leader, Program Engineer, and Weapon Quality Assurance Engineer, overseeing program costs, schedules, and technical baselines, streamlining inter-site shipments, and inspecting weapon products to ensure adherence to NNSA standards.

Her executive career is further anchored by approximately 11 years of engineering and technical contributions at  Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque.

Ms. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. She is also a certified Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute and is Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
