In this EA, the DOE reports the results of an analysis of the potential environmental impacts from proposed improvements to the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (TJNAF or Jefferson Lab) in Newport News, Virginia. The proposed action evaluated in this EA involves improvements to support the operation of Jefferson Lab. DOE has prepared this EA to determine the potential for adverse impacts from radiation produced with the operation of the Helios, disturbance of land from construction, effects on the offsite population, and other sources of potential impact.

Site-Wide Environmental Assessment of National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s National Wind Technology Center, Golden, Colorado
The Department of Energy (DOE) conducted a Site-Wide Environmental Assessment (EA) of the National Wind Technology Center (NWTC) to evaluate potential impacts of site operations and short-term and long-term improvement programs.
The proposed action would be to authorize the IDOA and USDA-FS to implement the USDA-FS "Slow-the-Spread" gypsy moth treatment program at ANL-E. The treatment would entail two applications by helicoper in May 2002 of Btk to wooded areas in the eastern portion of ANL-E. Btk is a bacterium that produces a toxin specific to butterfly and moth caterpillers.
