Summary

In 2000, DOE issued an EA that evaluated the potential environmental impacts of strategies for addressing wildland fires that threaten operations at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). In 2019, DOE issued a supplemental EA that addresses new strategies that reflect conditions that have changed at LANL since the 2000 EA was issued, including longer fire seasons, changes in vegetation, and global climate change.

This EA supplements the Environmental Assessment for the Wildfire Hazard Reduction and Forest Health Improvement Program at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, New Mexico dated August 2000.
