Supplement Analysis for an Alternative Evapotranspiration Cell Cover for the Crescent Junction Disposal Cell; Grand and San Juan Counties, Utah
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) prepared this Supplement Analysis (SA) for the Moab UMTRA Project (Project) (DOE/EIS-0355-SA-04) to assess the environmental impacts of DOE's proposed action to evaluate and consider changes to the existing final environmental impact statement (FEIS) that could have bearing on the potential environmental impacts previously analyzed. More specifically, the DOE Moab UMTRA Project prepared this SA to evaluate whether changes to the original design of the Crescent Junction (CJ) Disposal Cell cover – which was based on traditional rock armor covers designed layer by layer rather than as a system – require further evaluation under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended (Pub. L. 91-190,42 United States Code [U.S.C.] 4321 et seq.) (NEPA).
