The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) issued a Finding of No Significant Impact based on the environmental assessment (EA) for Northwest Arctic Borough High Penetration Solar and Battery Energy Project (DOE/EA-2302), which assesses the potential environmental impacts of DOE's proposed action to authorize the expenditure of federal funds by NAB to construct and operate a solar photovoltaic (PV) array and battery energy storage system (BESS) to support the village of Ambler, Alaska (AK).
