Bonneville Power Administration prepared a Mitigation Action Plan (MAP) to mitigate the potential impacts of the Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge Floodplain Reconnection Project (DOE/EA-2276). The proposed restoration action would result in four levee breaches along the Kootenai River, Myrtle Creek, and Deep Creek; vegetation planting to establish new wetland and riparian habitats; and the realignment, raising and reconstruction of two existing roads that cross the Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge: the Auto Tour Route (ATR) and Riverside Road.
