The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) issued a Finding of No Significant Impact based on the environmental assessment (EA) for Microporous Assets – Project Stellar (DOE/EA-2272), which assesses the potential environmental impacts of NETL's proposed action to award a grant to Microporous to partially fund a new facility. Microporous's new facility would support the construction of a coated lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery separator plant on Lots 1 and 2 of the Southern Virginia Megasite property near Danville, VA.
