The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) issued a supplement analysis for the LINAC Coherent Light Source-Il (LCLS-II) environmental assessment (DOE/EA-1975). This document analyzes whether the environmental impacts of the proposed changes to the LCLS-II project, referred to as the LCLS-II High Energy (LCLS-II-HE) project, would be within the original scope and impact envelope considered in the 2014 environmental assessment. This proposed upgrade would fabricate and install an additional approximately 26 cryomodules in the Linac. LCLS-II-HE would also require additional electrical and cryogen distribution facilities and other equipment upgrades.
