The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has executed a lease agreement with General Matter Inc.to lease approximately 100 acres of real property (Parcel A) at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PGDP). Under the conditions of the lease, General Matter, Inc. will perform site preparation activities, including grubbing, grading, erosion and sediment control measures and developing access routes on the parcel. General Matter, Inc. and its contractor shall perform only site grading and soil drying activities for future construction with no nexus to nuclear safety. General Matter, Inc., may also install small structures such as mobile office trailers or structures for non-nuclear equipment storage and administrative support purposes.
