The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science intends to transfer Self-Sufficiency Parcel 2 (SSP-2), a 627-acre clean parcel of federal property in the Oak Ridge Reservation, to The Industrial Development Board of the City of Oak Ridge (ORIDB) pursuant to a 10 C.F.R. 770 request and proposal.
The ORIDB intends to use SSP-2 for future economic development, including a potential subsequent transfer to a third party to allow for a nuclear development project or other industrial purposes.
