Under this technical amendment DOE is making amendments as specified in the Power and Security Systems (PASS) Act and the EPS Improvement Act of 2017. Specifically DOE is amending the definition of external power supply and amending the applicable timeliness for certain external power supplies used in security, life safety, or surveillance systems, as required by the PASS Act and EPS Improvement Act of 2017. This determination does not propose new energy conservation standards. This determination is procedural.
