The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED) to engage in efforts that support the Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs by convening a Tribal Energy Business Roundtable to help lead to the development of a Tribal Energy Institute that would then further discussion through workshops/plenary/roundtable discussions and working groups to help design, develop, and produce a DOE National Tribal Energy Summit. Project activities would include working groups, presentations, workshops, business planning, workforce development, and dissemination of information. All project activities would consist exclusively of intellectual, academic, analytical activities, dissemination efforts, and technical advice/assistance.
