The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to Kevala, Inc. to develop their “Grid Assessor” software which would analyze and use electricity infrastructure data, pricing information, GIS mapping, and proprietary algorithms to lower the financial risk associated with incorporating solar energy into property development plans.
Proposed project activities would include computer programming, data acquisition and analysis, customer engagement, and general and administrative functions. The proposed project would be limited to intellectual and analytical activities and would use no physical materials beyond basic office supplies and software.
