In this Final Rulemaking, DOE proposes to adopt energy conservation standards specified by ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2013 including standards for three classes of small phase commercial air cooled air conditioners and heat pumps less than 65,000 Btu/h, three classes of water source heat pumps, and one class of commercial oil fired storage water heaters. These proposed standards, if adopted, would apply to all products listed in Table I.1 of the Final Rule, and manufactured in, or imported into, the United States two years after the effective dates specified in ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2013 for small air-cooled air conditioners and heat pumps and by October 9, 2015 for water-source heat pumps and oil-fired storage water heaters.
