The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to the Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE) to expand the awareness, effectiveness and use of the Virtual Net Energy Metering (NEMV) tariff in California and beyond.
The proposed project activities would include policy and tariff research; performing market potential assessments; creating and implementing a pilot program; conducting stakeholder interviews, surveys, focus groups and working groups; developing a marketing and outreach plan and collateral; and presenting research findings through a website, conferences, industry trainings and information sessions. The proposed project would be limited exclusively to intellectual, academic, or analytical activities and would use no physical materials beyond basic office supplies and software.
