WAPA proposes to acquire temporary access rights from a willing private landowner for an area outside of its existing Olinda-Tracy transmission line right-of-way to be used temporarily and intermittently throughout the year as a helicopter landing zone for transmission line maintenance projects. This landing zone would benefit WAPA due to its ease of access and greater safety (by reducing aircraft operations in close proximity to transmission lines).
