CX-034547: Synthesis and Characterization of Organic Ligands, Ionic Liquids, Metal-Organic Frameworks, and Organometallics

The overall scope of this R and D activity is to carry out organic synthesis of organic ligands, ionic liquids, metal-organic frameworks, and organometallic molecules. The organic compounds and metals involved in this synthesis will be subjected to traditional reaction techniques and then purified using common methods such as liquidliquid phase extractions, column chromatography, recrystallization, and/or filtration and drying. All chemical work will be performed in a chemical fume hood or in systems that are degassed to a chemical fume hood.
