CX-034351: Application of Engineering CoDesign for Open-Source WEC Performance Improvements and LCOE Reductions

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to Oregon State University (OSU) for the characterization, modification, and testing of wave energy converters (WECs). Proposed project activities include the redesign of data acquisition systems, characterization of drivetrain components, and laboratory testing. Redesign and characterization would require computer modeling and data analysis, which would take place at Sandia National Laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
