The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to Stanford University (Stanford) to model, calculate, synthesize, and test low iridium (Ir) loading catalysts. Additionally, electrolyzers for hydrogen production from water electrolysis would be fabricated and tested.  Award activities would be completed over three Budget Periods (BPs) with a Go/No-Go decision point between the BPs.
