This task encompasses preparation of an aqueous chemical simulant of a Hanford WTP internal recycle waste stream and demonstration of evaporating it in a lab-scale vacuum evaporator to measure partitioning of species between the bottoms and the condensate.  Of particular interest is the behavior of iodine.  A batch of the simulant will be prepared, typically 3-5 L of solution.  Additional batches may be produced (2-3).  The batch will be subsampled and analyzed.  A vacuum evaporator apparatus will be assembled.  The simulant will then be processed through the evaporator.  Samples of the liquids collected during the experiment will be submitted to AD for analysis.
