The Advanced Reactive System Screening Tool (ARSST), manufactured by Fauske & Associates, will be used for the qualification of a new batch of Reillex HPQ Resin for the AFS-2 PuO2 campaign in the HB-Line facility. Testing in the ARSST is performed to gather data necessary to determine thermal hazards, runaway reaction evaluations and often proper sizing of pressure relief vents for a process. Testing was performed in 2000 for the qualifation of the existing batch of Reillex HPQ resin and was documented in WSRC-TR-99-00317.
