The proposed activity is to retire the emergency diesel generators at 254-13F and render them out of service (OOS) as part of the overall actions to work towards F-Area deactivation, decontamination, and decommission operations and work towards improving the protection of the safety and health of the co-located worker and the environment. The 254-13F generators supply emergency power to F-Canyon for facility ventilation connected to the 291-F Stack (a monitored emissions source). SRS is preparing an Operational Flexibility (OF) to remove the F Area emergency diesel generators (SCDHEC IDs 85IF and 86IF) from service and from the Insignificant Activities (IA) list.
