Both the Sitewide Facility and Operations and Idaho Transportation Department use lava rocks retrieved from Idaho National Laboratory Site locations for maintenance related activities such as controlling run-off and drifting sand and snow. The stock of lava rocks used by the Sitewide Facility and Operations and Idaho Transportation Department are low and need to be replenished. The proposed action retrieves lava rocks from Idaho National Laboratory Site locations to meet the needs of the Sitewide Facility and Operations and Idaho Transportation Department.
