Kansas State University proposes to purchase and install a new control system for the pneumatic transfer system for the Kansas State University Reactor, a radiation counting station for use in the Kansas State University Reactor Sample Handling Laboratory, a closed glove box, and a high-precision balance dedicated for use with radiological materials. The equipment will reduce exposure concerns, improve sample insertion and removal times, prevent contamination between samples and the environment, and improve the ability of the reactor facility to handle radioactive samples safely and efficiently.
