The Fire System Upgrade Project will affect the entire Knolls Laboratory and the majority of the buildings on the site. This project includes the installation of a new fiber based network throughout the site as a replacement for the existing system, installing new fire alarm control units and notification devices in various buildings, and the removal of all existing fire alarm devices, smoke detectors, heat detectors, sprinkler system water flow detectors, manual pull foxes, and wire/conduit connecting devices.
