CX-016419: Spatiotemporally Resolved Multiscale Measurements of Single- and Multi-Phase Flows Using State-Of-The-Art System of X-Ray Tomography and Optical Sensors - Texas A&M University

Texas A&M University proposes to add a state-of-the-art X-ray tomography combined with high-frequency optical sensors to the advanced flow visualization systems to perform high resolution measurements of single- and multi-phase flows. The enhancement will enable the measurement of high-resolution void fraction in two-phase (liquid-vapor) mixtures and solid concentrations in multi-phase flows. The new measurement system will complement the measurement capabilities of the laboratory for the purpose of conducting research in multiscale, single and multiphase flows.
