The Single-Pane Highly Insulating Efficient Lucid Designs Program supports development and testing of technologies aimed to reduce energy consumption and building maintenance costs by improving the efficiency of single-pane windows by developing adhesive products that can be applied to existing windowpanes, manufacturing windowpanes with improved thermal insulation, and other innovative approaches to improve the efficiency of single-pane windows. The Single-Pane Highly Insulating Efficient Lucid Designs Program is comprised of 11 small-scale research and development projects that will be conducted by universities, nonprofits, for-profit entities, and federal laboratories.
