The Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) south security road is too narrow at the intersection with the south parking lot access road, and large trucks are not able to safely turn at this location. The road at this intersection needs to be widened to address this safety issue. The proposed action would widen the road at the intersection by approximately 10 feet to the south and 50 feet to the west. This area was included as part of modifications to the south side of MFC as part of activities described in environmental checklist (EC) INL- 05-028. Cultural and Biological surveys and clearances were completed at that time. This activity will be performed by Facilities and Site Services (F&SS) Sitewide Facilities and Operations (SFO) personnel.
