In support of the SRS Liquid Waste System (LWS) in the Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF), SRNL will study mechanisms and rates for the conversion of monomethyl mercury to inorganic mercury species by two advanced oxidations processes: a) photo oxidation (with UVC wavelength light) and b) ozone initiated reactions.
