Existing 151-1K 13.8-kV compressed air operated switchgear is to be replaced with new 13.8-kV vacuum switchgear that includes a new alarm panel, controls and relays mounted on the front panels, and ties to existing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and SCE&G’s supervisory control panels. The switchgear/breakers can be replaced utilizing one of at least two options - retrofill breakers, completely new cabinets, or other similar solution offered by the vendors.
