Low Activity Waste Pretreatment (LAWPS) Resin Removal Testing for Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS). An 18-inch-diameter simulated ion exchange (IX) column (200-gallon capacity) containing 95 gallons of sRF resin and a 40.5-inch-diiameter IX column (former FSVT - Full Scale Vessel Testing vessel with 500-gallon capacity) containing 281 gallons of new sRF resin will be studied with a side-discharge valve/RDT concept for resin removal with modified existing PEP simulant supernate and leftover Cast Stone simulant along with processing caustic solutions to 0.5M NaOH and acid solutions to 0.5M HNO3.
