Utah State University proposes to purchase a Laser Flash Analysis (LFA) system for high temperature thermophysical properties analysis of nuclear materials. The LFA system combined with existing equipment will expand the ability to analyze and characterize thermophysical properties such as thermal diffusivity, thermal conductivity, specific heat capacity, thermal expansion coefficient, phase transition temperature, and phase transition enthalpy.
