The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to The Sherwood valley Rancheria of Pomo Indians under the DOE's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. Under Activity #13, On Site Renewable Technology, the Sherwood Valley Rancheria of Pomo Indians would include installing solar power to operate Sherwood Valley's water system on the Old Rancheria.
