The U.S. Department of Energy is proposing to provide federal funding to the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe (specifically White Earth Band) under the DOE's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program (EECBG). Under Activity #7, Facility Solar Photovoltaics, and Activity #10, Facility Energy Audit/Eng., the Tribe proposes to fund energy audits and install solar photovoltaic (PV) technology on two to three single-story tribal buildings.
