Building 681-11N, a pumphouse previously used to provide water for N-Area, is proposed for demolition. It was taken out of service in 1993-1994 and determined to be an ancillary structure in 2003. Utilities have been disconnected, pumps removed, and a South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) demolition permit / asbestos license is in place for the proposed demolition activity. The 400-square-foot structure was determined to be unsuitable for reuse, transfer, or salvage, and is considered to be unsafe due to its decaying condition.
