Location(s): Aiken, South Carolina
Office(s): Environmental Management, National Energy Technology Laboratory
There is a desire for the Savannah River Site to operate an accredited industrial hygiene radiation laboratory for Beryllium, Lead, and Asbestos. The F/H Area Laboratory is attempting to fulfill this need utilizing a phased approach. This Environmental Evaluation Checklist (EEC) only covers the actions for Beryllium analyses from the FB and HB lines and F and H Canyons. This EEC will be revised to incorporate future phases as the necessary information becomes available. Revision 1 of this EEC incorporates information obtained from the Site Radiation NESHAPS (National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants) coordinator and broadens the phase covered by this EEC to beryllium and lead analyses from swipes obtained in FB and HB lines and F and H Canyons.
