Nanoscale ceramic powders will be used to make dense ceramic pellets consisting of ?mixtures? of different crystalline phases for enhanced function. These physical properties of these pellets will be studied including gas transport and conductivity. The purpose of starting with nanoscale powders is to limit the final grain size of dense ceramics and investigate the grain size dependence of physical properties.
