As part of the Center City On-Street Recycling Program, the City of Charlotte proposes to use Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant funds to purchase an electric vehicle to pick up recyclables from the recycling receptacles. The proposed project will reduce the consumption of conventional fossil fuels, and is considered a small-scale conservation project under Categorical Exclusion B5.1.
