The Fond du Lac Band of the Chippewa Tribe would utilize Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant funds to install an 11 kilowatt photovoltaic system (approximately 54 205-Watt solar panels) on a planned Resource Management Building which would house the Fond du Lac Natural Resources Program, Environmental Program, Wildlife and Fisheries Program, the Forestry Program, and the Conservation Enforcement Program. There would also be a Tribal Court located in the building. The Band intends to apply for a Gold level Leadership in Energy and Environmental Energy Design (LEED) certification upon completion of the building. The proposed photovoltaic system would reduce electrical consumption by approximately 15,400 kilowatt hours per year.
