The $1,000,000 of State Energy Program funding requested for this project will support the complete retrofit of five Lakeview schools to utilize the heat contained in a new geothermal resource, Barry Wells. The project will involve the conversion of steam and high temperature water heating systems over to lower geothermal temperature water systems. The project will include the addition and/or reconfiguration of heating coils, ducting, heating water piping, terminal units, and controls to utilize 5 one million British thermal units (MBTU) per hour of new geothermal resource.
