Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. This activity would be considered a Building Retrofit to improve Energy Efficiency through heating, ventilating, and air conditioning and other building upgrades at three Grand Island Fire Stations. The proposed Building Retrofit project would replace the previously submitted Activity "City of Grand Island Water Heater Insulation Blanket Distribution." In the essence of time and ease of completing the activity, the needs of the fire stations appeared to be greater than the need to give away a product and could be accomplished in a much shorter time-frame. The City respectfully requests permission to undertake the Building Retrofit project for three fire stations instead of the water heater blanket project that was previously submitted and approved. There will be no change to the budget as previously submitted.
