The Town of Wickenburg, Arizona proposes to use $27,000 of the Department of Energys' Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant funds to support a Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV's) project. Funds will be used to cover the incremental difference in cost between standard fleet vehicles and HEV's when purchasing new fleet vehicles for use by the City. The utilization of HEV's will decrease greenhouse gas emissions, reduce volumes of fuel consumption, and will save approximately 208,681,164 British Thermal Units of energy.
