South Dakota State University's sub recipient of the SunGrant, GreenWood Incorporated proposes to use federal funds to further the efforts of a previous reward (GFO-07-135-65) by adding nine new locations for hybrid poplar production. This project will include the establishment of poplar clone tests nationally, hybridization of poplar to produce novel hybrid taxa, establishment of new yield tests evaluation of existing poplar yield tests nationally, and project management and reporting. Continuing operations at the previous locations will include monitoring and measurement of poplar hybrids.
