Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. 1) Develop energy efficiency and conservation strategy, 2) energy audits of township buildings, 3) traffic light LED (light-emitting diode) retrofits, 4) building retrofits to replace a 50-ton heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) chiller at the 1984 Town Hall, and 5) building retrofits at the Parks and Forestry Building, Community Center, Department of Public Works, Town Hall, Police Headquarters, Library, Day Care Center, Water Utility Offices, Sewer Pump Station #4, Well House #21, and Park Road Booster Station including replacing/installing LED exit signs, replacing/installing compact fluorescent light fixtures and lamps, replacing/installing thermostats and occupancy sensors, installing fuel use economizers for HVAC units and hot water heating, HVAC balancing, replacing HVAC units, replacing boilers, installing pulse start metal halide retrofits, installing low intensity infrared heating unit, upgrading air handling unit motors and replacing drive belts, adjusting hot water temperature, and installing a 30 kilowatt roof-mounted solar photovoltaic system on the Community Center.
