The Chabad of Running Springs proposes to use federal funding to install solar panels at the Running Springs Mountain Retreat Center. They also plan to implement an education program and develop a curriculum to teach and inform the community of solar technology as an energy source. This project will involve solar panel installation on each usable building. This installation will not require any restructuring of roofing components. The dates of building construction are 1975, 1980, and 1995. This project is not anticipated to adversely affect historic properties. This project will also consist of development of an educational curriculum designed for general education and outreach to the users of the Running Springs Retreat Center.
