Funding would support laboratory and pilot scale research and development on rechargeable magnesium batteries for use in electric energy storage for transportation. Activities would be conducted in facilities appropriate for the types and scopes of experiments, and the facilities would have established waste management and disposal procedures that meet all applicable environmental permitting and regulatory requirements.
