The following information is taken from the Town of Blacksburg?s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Strategy (EECS). Readers are encouraged to review the full document on-line at www.blacksburg.gov. The EECS outlines the process by which community goals were developed. In addition, the strategy describes how the Town will use its Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) money to meet its goals for energy conservation as well as greenhouse gas reductions. Goals for the EECS include preparing a climate action plan, promoting residential energy-efficiency retrofits, and increasing community education about energy conservation issues.
