James Madison University proposes to use federal funds to research projects in transportation, energy efficiency, sustainable buildings, and energy production; as well as to implement a renewable energy strategies outreach program with the communities within the Shenandoah Valley that are economical. The project will include James Madison University internal research activities, external research activities, and community outreach. Activities will include university based research studies, website development, evaluation of local businesses energy efficiencies and community workshops.
