The Department of Energy is proposing to provide federal funding to the Sacramento Municipal Utility District for the design and installation of 1.5 Megawatts of utility-scale solar power installations on Caltrans property along highway and freeway corridors throughout Sacramento and the State of California. The demonstration project includes three photovoltaic system installations along approximately 2 miles of Highway 50.
