As part of an ongoing effort to reduce the amount of energy required to treat wastewater in the City of Rutland, the City proposes to use the funds set aside for Rutland City in the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant program to make an improvement to the wastewater treatment plant aeration system. The proposed improvement is the replacement of a positive displacement blower with a turbo blower which will in turn improve the aeration system.
